What is the nation’s favourite novel of all time?

Well, with all of your help we will soon have a definitive* answer – because to celebrate the upcoming publication of Richard Osman’s THE WORLD CUP OF EVERYTHING, we are running our very own World Cup – of BOOKS.

How to nominate a book

Got a favourite novel that should be on our list?

To nominate it, either:

1.Tweet the full title and author of your chosen novel with the hashtag #WCOBooks.   (Photos are lovely but please do spell out that full title to have your vote counted. Oh and if somebody else has tweeted your novel, RTing them is also lovely but won’t help its chances, as each tweet is one vote!)   OR2.Fill in a nomination card at one of the following Waterstones stores: DeansgateDerbyDoncasterLiverpoolNottinghamCovent GardenKing’s RoadCrouch EndBrightonNewcastle

Do note that we are looking for novels rather than non-fiction, short stories, poetry collections, etc.

Nominations close Friday 8th September 2017.

How to vote

After the nomination period, voting will happen via polls on the Waterstones Twitter feed between 25th and 28th September 2017, with the winner being announced on the evening of Thursday 28th alongside a live World Cup of Books event with Richard Osman.
